Next questions.. Bring the front end up to level

Recommended Posts

I want to bring the front end up without touching the torsion bars or changing keys, what can I do so I don't look like I am constantly driving down hill? The 2500 surbs look like this and I want to change mine if possible.

It currently rides a little rough, but that's to be expected with a 3/4 ton and I knew that when I bought the rig. I just don't think I would want the ride much stiffer as everybody reports when touching the t-bars and adding keys. Alignments are no problem as I can align my vehicles for free whenever I need too!! I like the level the rear sits at. I was thinking that someone has run across some spacers or a front body lift or something along those lines that would make the same adjustments.

Really, your only two options are cranking up the torsion bars or lowering the rear. Since alignment costs are not an issue, why not try cranking up the torsion bars. If you don't like the ride, return them to the stock position.

Also, since you can align your truck for free, you could help us all out by answering a long standing question. How much does cranking up the torsion bars affect your alignment? You could check your alignment to make sure it's within specs and then crank up the torsion bars and see how much it throws it off. You see, a lot of people crank up their torsion bars and then go get an alignment and tell everyone it was way off or it was only off a little. But, what if their alignment was out of specs before they touched their torsion bar?

Wandell-My new rims should be here any day so I will throw it on the rack probably the weekend of the 10th of July and let everyone know. It drives perfectly straight with a straight steering wheel and I have no tire wear in 10k miles on new tires. I definitely let you know.

p-wizzy-Please spill the beans?
