I thought about the same thing, but read on another rv forum that it really doesn't help much in regard to fuel economy and power. Right now you have an 3-1/2" exhaust which is pretty big and I think that it is stainless, too (lower grade stainless). I don't remember which rv forum it was, but it changed my mind regarding the change of my exhaust system.

Flowmaster makes a dual 3" in with single 3.5" out that would fit with minimal cutting and welding and let you use stock pipes if you want to. I have a flowmaster 3 in /3 out single on my burb and I have been very pleased with it.

I am running a Flowmaster 50 series dual 3" in/single 3.5" out..its definetly low and deep...and got louder once it broke in..though it disappears on the highway cruising, but around town and when you are in it you definetly know it. As far as not offering much as far as gains...true there is 3" stock, but open up the boat anchor stock can and you will see that inside that 3" pipe narrows down to 1.5"-2" which doesn't give the "best" flow, but is great for all around use. If you are looking to squeeze every bit of power out of your ride then you will see some gains in hp and egt's or just make your 8.1 sound like a big block.
