Can a 285/75 16's fit on stock Suburban?

Can a 285/75 16's fit on stock Suburban? Currently I have 265/75. I want to purchase a 16x8 wheels and put on a 285/75 but worried about clearance?

If it's a 4 wheel drive, then yes...They should fit. A few people have had to trim the airdam a little, but most have not.

Yes you can, I have them on my 2003 and they work out pretty nice. only have a rub with the wheels turned at a certain angle and hitting the lip when going into a driveway.

What is it with oversized tires? It lowers your effective gear ratio unless you regear and reduces performance too. I am not talking about 33' and 36's and such, I am talking 283, 305, 315's and such. Bigger is not alway better but it sure makes tire companies happy.

i just put a set of 285-75-16s on my stock 96 4wd tahoe w/ no probs what so ever. i had 265s before and the 285s arnt even close to rubbing
