With some amount of work probably but you could get close to the same numbers with less work and money by going the supercharger route.

I agree, while it would be possible to install a 502, a positive displacement (Roots type) super charge on your existing engine would be cheaper and easier to install and yeild more power and throttle responce as well than the 502 ram jet. You would be looking at well over 500 HP and up to 600 ftlbs of torque or so (if you have a big block or well over 400hp and 500ftlbs of torque if it is a 5.3 or 6.0) over a wide RPM range. It would make some very serious power and be will mannered as well making it a first rate sleeper.

At a dealership when i was inquireing about a 6.0L in a 1500, they said they had special ordered a suburban with a 502 in it for some guy...

you mean replacement?

That is news to me....didn't ever hear you could get one with a 502----496 yes but not 502.

Can you find out more about it?

yes it is, and even so that the vortec computer can even control the transmission.

but the instance youll probably have is if you have a 4L60e trans, the file used

will possibly cause some ill trans effects. the 4L80e has been proven to work and

with a vortec computer too...

see these guys for a 502 project:
