Hill Leveling Kit - Autoride

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I had a leveling kit on my last truck (02 k2500 ecsb) and really liked the look alot better with truck leveled out....Id go bigger but my 5' wife and twin 2.5 year olds would have a tough time getting in anything bigger.

My new truck has autoride and nifty little suspension sensors my last truck didnt have. My questions are can i adjust the front end up or am I gonna have problems with the autoride system. Can the length of the sensor link be lengthened to fool the system to thinks its stock height?

Any Thoughts?

Well, Actually there is someone who knows about Autoride as I have this setup on my 02 3/4 Ton Suburban. You can adjust the height of your front end and when you start the truck the computer will compensate for the change in height. Autoride is also known as Bi-State Real Time Damping(BSRTD). What it does is monitors the suspension movement and adjusts the damping of the shocks electronically. If you are on a rough road and the suspension is moving rapidly it will increase the damping on the shock to slow down the movement of the suspension to give you maximum control. If the road is smooth the shock will not dampen as much, basically it adjusts your shocks to road conditions and suspension movement. Don't try and remove it as it is integrated with your speedo and antilock braking system with the onboard computer. I guess by this time you have maybe figured it out as I am new to this forum but just in case you know a little more than you did when you wrote this post.Hope this helps :jester::chevy:
