Wester's update

Recommended Posts

I had been pretty disappointed in my program from Wester's. After a lot of emails back and forth between Lyndon and myself, about how my truck got worse fuel mileage and very little if any performance gain with his programming, he finally sent out a new program/PCM. Got it installed last week, and have been driving it quite a bit. It seems to be alot better now. Better accelaration and more mid range torque. Top end is pretty good too. I can tell he changed the shift points, not sure what else he did. Fuel mileage seems about the same as his first program. The transmission still shift like stock though. I'm putting in a Corvette servo this week week, which should solve the 1st to 2nd soft shift. So, I'm satisfied mostly. Lyndon is a good guy I think, but kinda difficult to understand. I think he is one of those guys you just have to know how to talk to. We didn't get off on the right foot if you know what I mean, but I think we are okay now. So to follow up on my previous posts, Wester's did make an effort to fix my problems, so I wouldn't hesitate to call on him again.

Lyndon will always do his best to satisfy his customers. I am glad to hear that you have gotten things worked out with the tune. It seems some vehicles respond to tunes differently from others. This is not uncommon thing. Hopefully the vette servo will get you the shifting you are looking for...

Hopefully you're transmission will learn more the more you drive, it took over 200 miles for mine to finally figure out what's going on. In Tow/Haul, the 1st to 2nd shift is hard enough now to make passengers complain... lol
