Amazing power and mileage

I pulled my 5000lb boat (and people and gear) about 250 miles today with the cruise set at 72mph most of the way on hilly roads. I averaged 14mpg (with the AC cranking) and even on the biggest hills it never had a lick of trouble maintaining speed. You could hardly tell the boat was back there, and the ride was 2 times better with a trailer on the hitch.

This was my first time to really pull my boat with my new truck, and I'm very impressed. My Tahoe used to work hard pulling this load, so its a very nice change!

I'm absolutely loving the duramax/allison!

Yep, they sure do shine when towing. It makes them ride so smooth too.

Last weekend pulled about 2.5 hours one way to a race outside of Savannah, Ga. 75mph the whole way, 13 mpg.

I put over 600 miles in one day on my truck this past December, pulling a 5000 lb enclosed trailer. These trucks do a great job at what they were designed for!!!
