2 fill-ups equaled $142.00!

Recommended Posts

I filled my Silverado and Suburban tonight and ended up with a bill of $142. The Silverado took 30 gallons ($65.70) and 35 for the Suburban ($76.65). That is the most that I've ever spent for a fill-up! I think it's time to start walking

Hmm...was $1.89 for regular here, and whoever had the pump before me put in $56...I filled up a few gas cans- 1 5gal, 2 2gals...and it was like $17 for that. I can't wait for the next time I have to fill the truck up

I hear ya, today I got gas for my wife and I noticed, that supreme was at 2.23....good thing I work from home, I only have to fill up my truck every 3 or 4 weeks. Otherwise I think I might be trading in my westers 93 tune for a bike.

Tom

I thought these trucks had a 34 gallon tank?

That is the reason I got rid of my 2002 Sierra HD with the 8.1. Replaced it with a 2004 Sierra HD CC/LB Duramax/Allison. I have been saving money since the first mile!!!

I just traded in my Westers 93 for a Westers 87 tune!! Gas is just getting way to out of hand.

Go to a Duramax!!!!

Go to a Duramax !

Alot of people would if they could afford one, there so much dang higher than the 8.1, at least down here in the south.

I just traded my 2002 Sierra 2500HD CC/LB 8.1 with 30k miles for a 2004 Sierra 2500HD CC/LB with the D-max/Allison. My payment only went up $24.00/month!!!

I will be saving $150.00 to $200.00/Month in fuel. You need to look at how much you drive and what the difference will be in fuel savings not just the increased cost of the truck.

I lease my trucks and the rates are better now than they were 2 years ago so that helped with the payment. I also got a good number for my trade.

I guess you could say I was lucky to be able to do this. I think I had the perfect timing to switch over.

Maybe a trip to your local dealer is in order.

Try it, you might be surprised.

Super was $2.19 per gallon

I probably have $9-10k worth of mods into the truck so I won't be selling it anytime soon. I also don't have a payment for it so that's an incentive to keep it around.

I've found that some stations have raised the amount that they authorize credit cards for at the pump. It used to shut off at $50. Now it will shut you down at $75.

That's comforting.

I did a bonehead move today....I went to fill up the Jaz jugs for the Z400 (ATV), and I always put 93 in it....Well, I wasn't thinking, and just pulled the pump handle out of the can, stuck it in the truck and topped of the tank. Oooooops.

Luckily, I have repressed the memory of the final price so it isn't bothering me much.

HA!

I scoff at you.. Actually I'm jealous.

Try $2.44 for regular unleaded, up .11 from last week.

Times like this makes me wonder if it's really worth it to live on an island paradise.

The state legislature is trying to pass a gas cap law that would take effect in 2005. At this rate we'll easily be paying $3.00 by the end of summer. Sometimes living in Hawaii just sucks.
