285/75r16 on 10" rims will it work?

Recommended Posts

I have 285/75r16 BFGoodrich AT tires and want to put them on 10" wide rims.

Does anybody have pictures with this set-up.

Or should I go with a 8" wide rim for the tires that i have.

Well I think i figured out the wheel

the Ultra type 44-45 but still up in the air on the width

Man i never relized how hard it is to pick out a wheel there are

so many choices out there.

I would go 8". With a 10" wheel, that is putting alot of stress on the bearings. The truck is just too heavy. The bearings will last about 50K with 16x10 rims and a big tire.

haha, living up to your name, eh? I have no data, but I have seen a few trucks that have had excessive wear with wider wheels. This is if they have a negative offset. They do look awesome though. I had 10" wheels on my '98 Z71 for about 20K and then I took them off and sold them. They were 15x10's with 32/12.50/15's(may have been 32/11.5/15's...not sure)
