had tranny filter oil and filter changed , now ins

Recommended Posts

the 4L60-E tranny oil and filter was due to be serviced so i had a local shop do the job . my tranny was shifting flawless before i brought it in . they dropped the pan and changed the oil and filter . from the moment it came out the shop it now refuses to downshift into 1st gear and i now have no more overdrive.

they dropped the tranny pan to check out those 2 sensors inside the pan and said they where good .

the shop said they did nothing wrong and refuses to have it fixed .anyone have any ides. they also checked the big wire harness which plugs on the side of the tranny and also said it had no prob,s . i just have a hard time believing that it was just a coincedence that it happened the way it did.

I would check and see if the truck is starting in 2nd gear than its in failsafe mode. Most likely they have had a wire pinched in the pan and blew a fuse. :D

I have knocked one of the connectors off one of the spool valves inside the bottom on my transmission when re-installing the pan in the past, but you sais they dropped the pan again and checked all connections.

Doesn't sound like coincedence too me.

BBB ?
