tire size

Recommended Posts

I have an 01 2500 HD, I have stick rims. I am wondering what is the biggest size tire I can put on this truck w/o having to worry about buying a programmer to adjust the speedo and everything else. Not looking to cut anything and don't want them to rub.

I am also looking at the BF goodrich AT and the Bridgestone duelers....any suggestions?

Currently I run BFG AT 265 75 16 without any rubbing on a 2002 GMC 2500HD. I had sears try 285 and had minor rubbing, to reduce on wear I stuck with the 265s.

If you don't want to sdjust the computer for the new tires I would not go bigger than a 265. They will fit fine on the factory rims and no lift. Your speedo will be off a little though. Probably a 2-3 mph! I put 265's on my truck, but I also upgraded my Westers tune for the new tire size, adjusting the shift point and all that as well...
