Quick Question

Recommended Posts

It can be damaging to both the front-end (if 4x) and the rear diff to drive with mismatched tire sizes. I have driven one of my vehicles with an unmatched spare for the last 15 years and only had to use it on the highway once, for about 60 miles (no problems). I wouldn't spend the money unless you plan on traveling far from home.

Just did the upgrade to 265's on my truck as well. I did not upgrade the spare yet, but I am going to. I drive a lot of miles over a course of a year and having the matching spare tire size I think is just a good idea especially since my truck is a 4x4. Better to be safe than sorry!

It would be OK just as long as the smaller spare tire goes to the front end and not the back while in 2WD. Don't put it in 4WD with the smaller spare. I run 305's and I have a 285 spare that has worked fine through several flats.
