Cabin Filter on '03 Sierra

Does anyone know how to replace the Cabin Filter on an '03 CrewCab Sierra? I found an article that had great instructions but it might have been for an '01 & my truck is different.

Welcome to the forums!

They stopped putting in-cab filters in the trucks in 02. So your 03 shouldn't even have one.

according to my 2003 1500hd manual, the filter is called: Passenger Compartment Air Filter Kit and the GM part # is 52485513

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to do more research. I actually called the dealer & they were willing to charge me $73 for the cabin filter so I'm guessing there is one. I live in San Diego & after the forest fires last year I get a strange odor in the cab shortly after I either turn on the A/C or let the outside air come in.

I looked in the manual for my 03 2500HD and it made no mention of a cabin or passenger compartment filter. I even searched the PDF version of it and nothing....

Every other thread on this topic has said that they stopped putting them in for the 03 model year.

I just checked my rig ('03). Local dealership said I had one, but it doesn't. I was hoping I could add one, but the part doesn't have the cover lto remove to add the filters (as pictured in the Guides on this board). The whole thing is just one big piece of plastic now.
