Tranny ?

Today, on the way home from work my Trans temperature looked to be higher than normal :cool: I have an 03 6.0L. Normally its a little over 150ish, here's where it was today...

Where is normal? BTW, it was in the mid 80s here today in San Antonio.

The trouble with tranny temps are that it ambient temperature. The hotter it is outside the hotter the tranny is going to run and vice versa. The temp will never be the same. It comes in handy in the winter but not in the summer. Tranny fluid will burn at approx 210-220. One way to combat this is to use synthetic tranny fluid it will not break down as easy and doesn't burn as easy as fossil oil. Heat and dirt are what kill trannys. :loser:
