Which Grill Insert to buy?

I am considering buying a grill insert. I like the look of the horizontal bars. Doing a search on the internet results in a dizzying array of manufacturers.

Do you guys have any recommendations on Putco, Trenz or other brands? Some inserts are more tightly spaced than others and I am not sure which one would look better?

I'm buying the Billet shadow grill for my 2001 HD I think it looks pretty good in the picture at the Putco site. And it clamps on so no need to cut up the factory grill!

Real truck.com seems to be the cheapest. Just ordered it! 109.25, about 22 dollars cheaper than Putco. Dont forget the 5% discount on orders over $50.00.

I got mine for autoanything.com. They guarantee to be the lowest price anywhere and will beat anybody elses price for one year.

I am happy with my putco. It is the bolt on type. 15 minute install and clean sharp look.

Did you get the Virtual or the Shadow grille?

I got the shadow grille

If I did it agian I would get the virtual grille (only because it is stainless steel). The one I got is aluminum. It still looks nice but I think in the future I see polish compound in my future....
