I've had the volant intake for over a year now and am not really all that happy with it. Does anyone else feel the same way or do you think that you are getting any power gains from it? Also if anyone is interested I'd be willing to sell it for fairly cheap. I think I want to get the UPD (NSV) nsv instead. If anyone has had both let me know which one you think is a better choice, thanks.

I just feel like it's a little more curvy version of the stock airbox, and really amounts to nothing but a pain in the ass to install, and a restrictive intake that may be a tad cooler than the factory. Of course, I've always been a k&n man too. $277 for an intake that puts maybe 8 hp to the rear wheels is not in my opinion the best upgrade you can do..

I think it's funny how alot of these companies knock off the cotton gauze filter (if I am wrong, and want to tell me so, try and do it politely, as this is only an opinion and is no reason to get fiesty over :D ).

But it takes money to do anything, and that seems to be my problem. haha

I feel the same way. I just put the stock airbox back in with a K&N drop in. Then cut a hole in the bottom and ran some flex pipe down. I kept the volant pipe because it seemed a little less restrictive. But I feel no matter what shape filter you use cone, or flat all of the air still goes throught the same size hole in the MAF. I think the volant would be a better deal if it A) Fit better, B) had a straiter tube with no silencer and C) included the scoop at no extra charge.
