thnx for the reply man i really apreciate it. im not really worried about noise at all actually i want all the noise i can get but for sure i shouldnt change the inlet outlet set up that i have now and the muffler will still keep my low end for the truck ? and i shouldnt just cut that canister off or weld in a test pipe or something and or make it 3" single inlet outlet for sure b/c again all im worried about is ballz to wall sound and keeping torque up there of not adding more? thnx again for post and anyone else that helps out

takr easy fellas and good luck to u all

Well, seeming how you want loud, I'll cringe saaying this

Go with Flowmaster 40's for loud. I ain't a fan of two chambers, but hell, if ya want loud that's what you'll get.

My opinion: An x pipe w/ dual spin tech pro street mufflers. They sound d**n good, and don;'t reonate nearly as bad as flows do.

I've got a pair of 40s on mine and they sound awesome. There's no doubt that I've lost the ability to sneak home at night but, I love the sound my truck makes. Funny thing is, my wife talked me into getting them. I was happy with the stock sound. Now, I wouldn't go back.

well u spintech fellas out there what is all the hype about that is all im going to ask im new to this adn unfortunatley i think too much into purchasing a muffler so i would like to get all the side here all i want a ballz to the wall loudness sound inside outside especially im not comcerend about inside at all just that its loud and that i dont loose factory torque and or gain some if possible not concerned about HP but would be nice if i could gain that but without loosing torque at all im a puller not a racer and to mr. philmo thnx a bunch for picture man big help about the 3" inlet oulet probelm but did u loose torque at al by doing that? if spintech muffler is goign to give a big loud thunder louder tan 40's and going to give me torque or not loose any for HP im all for it i wentt o sight but no HD motors on clips and that exhaustsound clips is awesome site too but again no 6.0L so listen u being a moderator there do u feel that spintech or 40's is better choice im only replacing the factory muffler adn want loudest sound possible and loosing no torque at all and if possible gaining some ??? so thnx in advance again for any input on the thread

If you want it to be loud, stay with dual muffler setup using a smaller muffler. Like the 2 chambered 40 series original flowmaster, V-Force made by Flo-Pro (www.flopro.com), or a 4x9 oval 14 inch body magnaflow. You will need a 3" inlet and outlet on any of them that you choose to keep the stock exhaust, or atleast have the exhaust shop expand them to fit the stock pipe on the inlet side and run what ever tailpipe you would like.

Always a good idea to go by a few local exhaust shops to see what they can do for you, just be careful that they do not up the price for the mufflers too much. Some shops try to make money on the mufflers and the labor and you end up paying twice as much as it was really worth.

The origonal 40's only come in alumized, the Delta Flow 40's are stainless.

Magnaflow's 14" bodys come stainless too. Spin Tech WILL make a stainless muffler, if you call and ask them, it's a little bit more but its worth it.

since you want loud as hell, just go alumized single chambers I guess
