350TBI/700r4 into 82 SWB C-10

I have an 82 SWB c-10 setup for a carbed 350 / th350... I want to swap the entire 350tbi/700r4 powertrain from my wrecked 89 2wd suburban. My questions are...

 

1. What fuel pump will work for the tbi... i hear just about any inline efi pump that will make 14 psi will work?? any suggestions?? i need a cheap pump. (junkyard?) any plumbing suggestions?? (return?)

 

2. Will the stock driveshaft work? I hear the th350 and the 700r4's yoke are the same?? what about length??

 

other than that... most everything from the suburban, firewall forward, will be going onto the truck... front clip... radiator.. etc... I just rebuilt the frontend on the suburban too... might as well swap it too...

 

any suggestions will be helpful...

Your drive shaft should work, there is a 1/2 inch difference in the 2 trannys if my memory is correct.

 

You can do anything if you know how to wire stuff, that tbi will work fine, just get a inline fuel pump.

Yeah you can definately do it, and that will be an awesome setup, good luck on finding that pump, but don't worry your drive shaft will work.

I would use the in tank fuel pump from wrecked Suburban. You could just use whole tank and wire harness too.
