GM Extended Warranty

Recommended Posts

I need to know a good place to purchase an extended warranty for my truck. I just turned 33,000 and would like to have some insurance down the road. Is there any warranty that you guys would suggest???

I know there was a post on here about it here a while back, but I cant find it.

Thanks,

Drew

That is where I was going to start but there was a post on here about a dealership that was a lot cheaper than some of the others. What are some of you paying for your warranty???

What does the extended warranty cover??

Thanks,

Drew

I just got my info for GMPP extended warranty and they wnat around 1500-1900 for coverage. To me it seems like an awful lot needs to break for you to recover your money. I had a 92 s-10 blazer used with 52K and I sold it at 170K only replaced the heater core radiator and alternator. The lower ball joints were still OEM when I sold it. I put Moog lifetimes on the upper; besides tires and shocks the blazer didn't cost me much maintance so I can't see the justification. Enlighten me.

I have bought two extended warranties from Ken and many corvetteforum members have also been treated right by him. Here is the info:

Ken Fichtner

Fichtner Chevrolet

202 SE 4th Street

Laurel MT

406-628-4618 Ext 103

As requested, here is the information on the General Motors

Protection Plan.

About the plan:

As an independent new car dealer, Fichtner Chevrolet is authorized by

General Motors to sell the GM Protection Plan. We are offering the plan

at a significant discount without sales tax. This amounts to a discount

of several hundreds of dollars off of the MSRP of the plan!

For any vehicle that is still inside the new vehicle limited warranty

period, Major Guard time and mileage limits start on the same day as you

purchase the plan and from the odometer reading the day you purchase the

plan. You may purchase the plan at any time but such coverage must be

purchased prior to the end of the new vehicle limited warranty of 36

months or 36000 miles. Major Guard can be transferred when you sell

your vehicle. Major Guard is recognized by dealers in the US and

Canada. It makes sense to return to your selling dealer, but if you

find it inconvenient to do so, you may use any commercial repair

facility! Just refer to the Coverage Agreement for the appropriate

phone number to call.

Major Guard can be purchased from any GM Dealer. To save big dollars,

buy it from Fichtner Chevrolet. Many dealers mark-up Major Guard beyond

GM suggested prices by several hundred dollars. We sell every plan at a

discount saving you hundreds of dollars! Major Guard is honored

nation-wide and it doesn't matter where you bought the plan!

Application:

Application is simple.

You may either email us at [email protected] or call us

at 406-628-4618 with the following information:

Your name:

Your address:

Your day time phone number:

The VIN of your car:

The odometer reading on your car:

The term, miles and deductible desired:

Your credit card number and expiration date:

We are pleased to accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
