What did you pay?

Recommended Posts

Just started getting quotes for lifting my truck. I knew it would be expensive but YIKES :(

Rancho lift and shocks installed and out the door $2847

Wheels ~$150 each

Tires ~$160 each

$4100+

Is this way out of line? this is for only half decent 16x8 wheels and decent tires (BFG) and only 285's

I know rancho is a bit mor expensive than some but good gravy!

Did everyone else here with a lifted truck put in $4K+

tmf6902 1900 - for a Fabtech. Not too bad. What were the shocks, wheels and tires?

Ok I lied....sort of....my brain is getting fuzzy in my not so old age....here are my costs with tax....I found all my reciepts (including tax, and shipping)

6 inch fabtech - $1648 (includes pro-comp light bar)

Labor (inluding...lift install, tire mount and balance, and front alignment) - $658

Shocks (4wheelparts) - $278

tires (tirerack.com) - $811

wheels (4wheelparts) - $522

Now with all that being said...I worked my butt off to find good deals....my shocks were buy 3 get one free, the tires were on sale....and the wheels are POS's

here's the breakdown on the lift kit though

the lift kit came in two parts one was 670, one was 700

60 for steering stabilizer so the kit without tax was $1440

I would say that if you want to save some money, you gotta hagle....look for deals now on shocks and tires....even if your not gonna do it for a while, get em while their on sale. I was able to talk the shop that did mine down about 150-200 bucks on the lift. There wasn't really any wiggle room on the mounting and balacing on the tires, because they sent it out to a different shop to get it done..same goes for the alignment. Make sure you get different companies to beat each others prices. I also skimmped on wheels....I would love some 500 dollar boyd coddington's but I know darn well I wouldn't treat em right so why bother. Buying stuff online helps too, because you don't have to pay for tax....but sometimes you get bitten with shipping.....eh o well ...you get my point

The guys at www.4wheelparts.com are pretty darned good wtih their package pricing. Their web pricing is not what you actually pay, they work deals for you on the phone. I was impressed when I ordered up my shocks and the Warn steps, and will go back when I have the coin to step up to a suspension package. They have total packages, or will put one together for you, tires, wheels and suspension, for a sweet price. Not sure which one I will get, but they always make a deal with me, and it keeps me coming back for more.

Well, I havnt gotten everything yet, Im still in the process. But this is what it will be costing me

Lift Kit $ cant say right now b/c I havnt got all my accessories yet (Dual Shock hoop etc.. But over $2000 for sure (CST)- Already ordered and on UPS truck

Wheels $1048 - $262 per wheel (Weld Scorpio V's) havnt decided on 16x10 or 16x8

Tires $1008 - $252 per tire (Swamper SSR's 35x12.5)

Gears / and Auburn Pro LSD.. havnt priced yet, but I would say $1200 or so.

So roughly $4951 w/o the Dual Shock setup and NOT including any INSTALL costs

But it will look/perform good

I just orderred a 6" BDS lift. Lift is $1399 including shocks, dual steering stabilizer is $160, and 315/75/16 Mud Rovers and 16x8 Eagle rims for $756. Total cost $2470. Install is an additional $600. I shopped around for quite a while before I decided to buy.

  • 2 weeks later...

They are going to install a 6" lift. Install new shocks Install a steering stabilizer. Mount and balance tires, for $600. I'd be careful dude. What about an alignment?

4 wheels and 4 315's for 756?!?! even a good price on mud rovers is $120 per tire. So your paying $70 per wheel?

Great deals man - hope they aren't too good to be true?

For my Rancho setup if I play my cards right I might be getting a bit cheaper

Shocks are onsale buy 3 get one free so I can get them for about $170. Found the Rancho 4" kit online for $1100. Now I gotta find a deal on tires and a place thats willing to install it for me. (since I'm tool deficient) :D
