Has any one lemon lawed there vehicle and had GM offer a replacement

or are they strictly just buying back the vehicle? My vehicle (2003 2500hd)

has a knock that doesn't ever go away got tired of the b.s and consulted an attorney. Does anyone know how long the process takes?

First i would contact your states Attorney General. They prolly have a web page. They can give you the info on the Lemon law. If i were you i would hold on to a reciept for every thing. (wax, armor all, oil, coolant ,ect) any money out of pocket if you got a true lemon dont back down. You will be better off going to arbitration (not sure on spelling) then civil court. Court your great grandkids might benifit not you.

It took almost a year to get a judgement against GM when I was forced to take legal action. My 2002 Silverado 8.1 burned a quart of oil every 5-600 miles and made loud knocking noises on start up.My attorney says it is a well known flaw in that particular engine.I won a judgement and got rid of the truck shortly thereafter,I was afraid it would blow up.What engine does your truck have?

The attorney I've retained said he has a 100 percent success rate with GM.

My motor is 6.0 with a constant knock at around 1500 rpm once warmed up.

Manufacturer pays all lawyer fees in the state of California. I'm not worried about how long it takes I've requested to have truck replaced not bought back and I'm wondering if anyone has had there's replaced. The truck is perfect other than that.

They (the dealer) tried to say it was carbon build up and kept it for 3 days trying to decarb it but it seems like it just made it even noisier. I've heard of cold start knock

but my truck doesn't make a peep until warmed up. I offered to let them fix it but they claim it's normal. Ive test drove alot of 04's and never heard anything out of them. Does anybody with an 04 have this problem?

Hey CB, my '03 does it as well. Obnoxious clatter between 1300 - 17000 RPM after a few minutes of running. I also have a low end knock on each warm restart. GM is putting in a new engine in mine on Monday. As it started ~ 1200 miles no way could it be carbon build up! No CSK either.
