Is Adaptive Ride Control ARC worth it?

Looking at loaded 2025 SLT and Denali 3.0L - Denali is a bit over $5K more and the only real difference I see if the ARC suspension package? Am I missing something?

Dealer telling me Denali holds value better than SLT but but 30% depreciation in 3 yrs on $90K is still more on $80K.

Sorry I wasted so much time trying to help you out in the other thread -- but it's now removed it so you will no longer need to be offended.

i guess if you want to drive like a race car probably, but for the average conservative driver probably not. i still don't trust all the sensors to work in our crappy winters

Do you know people that have had trouble with them?

Denali 1500 has had sensors for ARC or it's predecessor Magnetic Ride Control for many years.

Tons of them in my area.

I'm not hearing about issues.

My understanding was the primary motivation for ARC  is smoothing out the ride, rather than making Denali into a sport truck.

I have adjustable ride control and adaptive exhaust on my '24 High Country. 3 settings, normal, sport and I think off road. Have only used normal and sport. Cannot honestly say that I can feel any difference. I leave it in sport for the louder exhaust as they are functionally tied together.

I think all models have the 3 drive modes right? I test drove and RST and it had the same dial......

To be honest I have it and have no idea what it does or if it makes a huge difference in ride so thats what I am researching here.

i have had with and without, i do notice a difference for the better at lower speeds and harsh bumps/bridge joints at higher speeds, here is a link for the basics of it but there was a video on the web with the company that designed and makes the ARC for GM that has more in depth info.

We test drove an SLT 1500 with 20" wheels/tires and a Denali with ARC and 22 inch wheels/tires.  ARC can't make up for the extra harshness of the 22 inch wheels/tires not having enough sidewall to absorb potholes.

Yes, for most trims (with ARC optioned) it only firms up the suspension and changes the shift points.  For those that have the 6.2 motor there is an "active exhaust" which brings the db's up a bit.

So for an SLT the ride control also changes the suspension setup? Or do you mean only the Denali trims with ARC?

If you have ARC in the SLT trim, then yes. If the ARC option is not on it, then it would just be the shift point change.

OK I dont think you can't SLT w ARC here - just wanted to know if the ARC actually changed the ride with mode selector and not just steering and shift points.
