Errors with Flatbed Wiring

Recommended Posts

Just purchased a 23 Silverado 2500HD and ripped the bed off and working on installing an Aluma flatbed.

I'm getting my butt kicked with the wiring since there is so much going on under the bed. Here's my gameplan:

1. I pulled the 7 & 4 pin out of the bed and will reinstall this under the flatbed as my trailer hookups.

2. I pulled the main wiring harness that attached to the bumper. I installed the reverse sensors into the bumper of the flatbed so these should work. My other problem is there were plugs into the step of the bumper and I think this may be for the side monitoring. I would love to somehow be able to get rid of this error code every time I start the truck. Is there any way around this?

3. The wiring loom going to the original 7 & 4 pin I will leave and tuck up underneath. Can I just plug the 4 ppin that came on the flatbed into this for all of the flatbed lights?

4. There were to wire clps that went to the brake lights. Now with the bed removed I am getting the rapid flash and the error. I tried installing a resistor onto the turn signal wire but this didnt work.

Does anyone make different plugs that can go back into these to remove the errors?

I'm kind of an electrical idiot but slowly working through these things. It seems like this should be a little easier since flatbeds are installed all of the time but I can't find much searching on these newer trucks. Any help would be awesome!
