The same new emissions that are destroying the motorhome chassis are coming to HD's

Recommended Posts

36 gallons in the pig and 45 gallon transfer tank in the bed.  The diesel i had a 100 gallon transfer tank, plumbed into the filler neck. Not so with a gasser.

My regular cab diesel just like a regular cab chevy diesel have 28 gallon tanks because of the def tank.

So distance to empty towing or empty is still about the same gasser from past diesel. Without a in the bed tank.

I have been paying more for everything I buy the past 3 3/4 years............

Nothing can scare me as bad now that sh*t for brains is leaving office, bring on the Tarriffs, The Tyrrany and the subjugation of Women that the left warned us about🤣

The US had the lowest inflation coming out of Covid of ANY of the G7 countries. It was a world wide  issue but go ahead and blame it one one person since it suits your politics rather than facts.

Speaking of CA... The other day there was a mention of the TMX oil pipeline going into service this past summer on The Dave Nemo Show. The intent was to get oil to Asian markets since Keystone had been halted.

Well in the months since the pipeline started operation, the owner said that 54% of the oil transloaded to tankers in Vancouver BC went to the US West Coast. They didn't specify which of the 3 states, but I'm sure some of that oil went to refineries in CA.

My first long tow hear for the winter in south Texas, mid on the gulf coast. About 1,600 miles 3 nights 4 days travel from up north so about 400 miles a day, avoiding interstate if possible, so secondary roads, speeds 55-66... Day 1 8.2mpg, day 2 8.4mpg, day 3 8.4mpg, day 4 nearing the coast and more wind, 7.7mpg. About 9,500lbs

I can see getting 6mpg on a bad day and odds are never hitting 10, but its a gasser, and gas has less energy per ounce than diesel so im ok with that.

I just love the simplicity of no turbo and diesel related emissions stuff. The gasser is perfect for short stop and go trips, vs the diesel.

Thats very similar to what I get towing our Reflection 337rls. Typically 8.25 to 8.5 running just under 65 MPH in eighth gear. I lock out 9th and 10th to keep the engine in the 2000rpm area. I found that when I left it in Drive it would sometimes shift back and forth between the upper gears with no advantage to MPG. I tried locking just 10th also and found no advantage in MPG running with 9th enabled so I chose to lock them out and lower the number of shifts that net me nothing  when towing. I had the same exact truck in a 2021 with the 6 speed and I would lock 6th  gear out for this same reason.

Do you still have the little fuel tank like my 1500 Silverado?

With max tow package and 6.2 with 10 speed between Eastern Wa and Lake Havasu AZ I usually can pull off 8mpg at best (6 in the mts)with my 24' enclosed car hauler.

Makes for frequent stops indeed over 70mph though.

We are in a great place right now. We get to use our own eyes to see how 16-19 compared to 20-24 and now moving forward, we get to see how 25-28 compares. Again, using our own eyes.

Of course you mean 17-20 compared to 21 to 24.

The main problem with Keystone was that it was an environmental disaster waiting to happen. It was to carry heavy acidic tar sand oil. They actually have to add regular crude oil for it to even flow. All was going to be exported since no US refinery wanted to touch the stuff. The acidic goo would eventually corrode the pipeline and there would be leaks everywhere over time. I have no problem with pipelines...that one was just going to be a major problem with the US absorbing the risk for Canadian tar sand exports.

I let it do its thing, i dont use tow haul. In normal drive pending on resistance of speed/wind i can speed up a little then it will up shift and hold there, if it dont like it, it downshifts.

The transmission is smart, it wont let the motor lug or anything.

I am the CTO and CFO of a tech firm. My wealth has increased 5X to what it was from my previous 45 years of life for the last 3 years.

Yes...my own eyes! If you are in tech, you have seen the greatest expansion of wealth in the last 3 years in history. If you haven't, you either in a low paying nontech job or you didn't get a college education.

Me too after Tuesdays election. What’s really cool. Gas prices will go down, fighting will stop. And I won’t get taxed on unrealized capital gains. I couldn’t be happier.

Being a  electrical lineman, what looked good on paper/the computer, to those like an  engineer,, often times didnt always work in the real world. My line world, of having to build it, maintain it, put it back together after a storm, working on things hot looks a lot easier on paper than in the real world.

Take a simple thing like ( delta ) what you first think of when reading it, is not the same as myself.
