I live in British Columbia, Canada. I purchased a 2023 Silverado with a 5.3 last January. Within a month I noticed that the rpm would fluctuate below 500 and go up to about 700, then drop again. Then, I started to notice a shutter when shifting through the gears, and at high speed on the highway. Then my engine started to developed a ticking noise. The truck has 24,000km on it. For months I have been trying to explain to the dealership what the truck has been doing. So, the truck went into the shop, the transmission was replaced, new lifters, they also replaced a cylinder head. I just got the truck back and not even 20min I noticed the rpm was still fluctuating. I would like to return the truck and get into something different but the dealership says they can't just swap the truck. I feel they could if they really wanted too!

Has anyone else had problems with their 2023 Silverado 5.3 engine and transmission?

Welcome to the forum. Lots of problems/ complaints on this forum about collapsed lifters -lifter failure, transmission shuddering while shifting gears and other complaints. You are not alone. I have had my 2023 Trail Boss into the shop twice for the trans. shuddering on the 1-2 and 2-3 upshift under hard acceleration. The dealer did not fix my problem. Last time I brought it in the "Transmission Specialist" stated  that he felt the shuddering on the upshift but it was caused by me cutting out the flapper valve in the exhaust system. I did not argue with the Service Writer at that time but he and I know that was a bullsh*t excuse. Search the forum for Lifter Failure, Valve body failure and Transmission shuddering.
