Correct PN for Rear Diff Pinion Seal

Recommended Posts

I'm having trouble confirming the correct PN/size for my 2016 Silverado 1500 LT (Z71) to replace a leaking rear diff pinion seal. RockAuto suggests the 710503 is the rear seal with the 710536 being the front. However, there are other sizes and PNs. Can anyone confirm the 710503 is correct for my model and year?

Should be a 9.5 ring gear in your truck being that it's a 2014+ body style. The 9.75 ring gear trucks in a 6.2 use the same differential.

So the SKF 21395A should be the right seal.

GM parts direct shows the part number 22943111

And National list the part number 711033.

If OP has a 5.3 non NHT, yes.

If OP has a 4.3, is the 8.625".  NHT max trailer are 9.76".

Makes me wonder why even GM parts direct doesn't give a breakdown of the NHT or not. It just shows the same seal regardless of 5.3 or 6.2 truck.

Pinion seal is the same for both.

8.625" is a different p/n, different seal.
