Service Trailer Brake Message With DTC C1114 When Connected To A Trailer With A Hydrastar Electric Over Hydraulic Trailer Brake Actuator

Recommended Posts

thanks for posting.  I have this issue with my 2024 3500 Duramax.  I also had this problem on a 2020 1500 6.2l. with a different trailer with a Hydrastar unit.  I've tried running with the CAM module and without and no difference.  My 24 Duramax got better after the brake control recall, but it still disconnects from time to time.  Boat trailer is a new 2024 Boatmate with EOH Hydrastar.

Seems like a simple fix would be to put a low pass filter between the truck and the EOH unit to get rid of the voltage spikes. Maybe that's the Hydrastar part that was mentioned.

EDIT: After looking at what this part is, I bet it's just a diode. https://hydrastarusa.com/products/2024-2025-gm-controller-adapter-module
