17" Wheels on 2021 AT4 with 6.2L Engine

Recommended Posts

I've scoured this and other forums and have yet to find a solid answer to this.

I have a 2021 AT4 with a 6.2L

Stock wheels are 18" with 265/65R18 tires

I want to go to this 17" wheel:  884BRZ - Impact Wheels

Will they clear my calipers?

Will they clear my A-arms at full lock with the smaller diameter?  The 0 offset will help by moving the inside of the rim out about an inch from the stock 18" wheel position.

I've seen plenty of guys running 17" wheels on AT4's and Trail Bosses but not a single one of the posts I found say whether they have the 6.2L, which I believe may have larger front calipers than the 5.3L and Duramax.  I also haven't seen anyone with this brand of wheels.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Only way you have bigger brakes is with the factory 6 piston upgrade which requires 20 inch wheels.  Otherwise all engines/trims use the same brakes front and rear.  17 inch is the smallest factory wheel.

As for the wheel clearing the caliper, you will have to find someone running that wheel on a Silverado/Sierra 2019-current, no matter the trim level, or, order one wheel and mount it on your truck to see if it fits.

As for rubbing assuming the wheel fits, that's all going to depend on what tire size you end up with.

I have a 2022 AT4 and I'm running 17 inch Raceline  "Clutch" wheels, BUT I'm also running Cognito "A" arms to help the ball joint angle when you install the leveling spacers. I'm running a 285/75/17 tire with no rub at all.
