DubVBenz
I want to force the dealer to update mine because it's getting worse and worse. I no longer have parking lines on my cameras for some reason... But I don't want to make things even worse.

Press and hold the hangup button until the system power cycles.

Thanks, I already have to do that a few times a week just to keep things partially functional.

According to my paperwork I received the update ending in -05. As mentioned here this apparently does not include the radio update as I still have Android 10 and versions that are over two years old. Got mine back today. Was gonna post pics, but the info is exactly the same as these two pictures that White LTZ posted. Work Order says N242435631 -- but does not indicate a dash with a revision number Description for it says Serial Gateway Module and Radio. There is also a wcc number listed --- I don't know what a wcc number is... Also had recall repair -- N242447990 Failed Brake Fluid Leak Detection (who new there was a brake fluid leak detector??) This is Brake System Control Module Reprogramming with SPS ...and it gives a different wcc number... This truck also needed a new battery, which was also installed. So far everything still seems to be working correctly. All settings seem to have been retained. Seems to be working as before. I could care less about the Android version number, it works (on the rare times I activate it) so that's all that matters. I wish we never needed the extra layer. So far, haven't discovered any downside to the update.

The "Android version number" is the base operating system for the Infotainment system and is part of Android Automotive (which is NOT the same thing as Android Auto). Every time you start the truck, that software loads and shows you things like radio info, the clock, and anything else on the display but it also operates the radio, HVAC, parking sensors, stop/start, and a bunch of other stuff. It's actually fairly important to keep this up to date for general operation of all kinds of things as well as ensuring that the latest security patches are installed.

What version should it being showing for "Android version number"? Am I looking at the correct thing, but calling it by the incorrect name? Truck currently says there are no outstanding updates .... which is what I would expect after the dealer updates just completed. Mine is showing Build Number full_gminfo37_gb-user 12 My kernel version is 4.19.255 And my security patch level is Feb 5, 2024 None of these are the most current ones and are ALL slightly older than ones posted by others in this thread. However, like you, my truck shows no updates available and I suspect that the specific builds that are newer that some other folks have is likely related to specific trim levels or features that they have that I do not. In other words, I don't like how GM handles their software and updates (they are HORRIBLE at this), but there's nothing I can do to force a newer build onto my truck so I'm good with it.
