I wasn’t driving in 88 ha. But I had that 77 in the mid 90’s and loved it.
the thing with regular cab trucks is you couldn’t fit four friends with ya or could you? I remember a very very cold winter night this guy wanted to come along so bad he agreed to riding in the bed. It was probably 10 below and factor in riding down the highway it was brutal. He was pounding on the rear glass couple miles down the road. He was a bit cold when we got to where we were going!!

Usually it was just 2 of us, sometimes 3. My father got our '79 crew cab due to the seat belt law up here in Ontario (every passenger needed a seat belt). Before that the 4 of us rode in the cab during the colder months. In the summer we rode in the back (had a cap on the truck).

My nephew when he saw pics of the '82 was mad I didn't keep it.

A couple of questions.

What pressure is the TPMS set @ from the factory to notify the driver of a low pressure? I had my dealer reset mine on the 2017 so I could run 50 psi.

Until @BCGM mentioned his 2024 had louvers behind the grille, I didnt realize the T1XXs had 1. Does it close @ certain ambient temperature?

Not all of them have them. Mine doesn’t I believe it’s because I have the plow prep package.

I have the plow prep package and don't have the louvers. My cousin has a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LT without plow prep package and has no louvers.

T1 seats offer alot of room just the seats are firm, they haven't changed since 2020.....I remember when we could ride in the bed of trucks back in the 70s and 80s.....used to do it almost everyday, reg cabs were the norm obviously....remembar when the extra cab was a big deal and it was tiny compared to today....I can get away with a dbl cab easily just not may around and def none in higher trims......had a 2022 dbl cab LT2500

lower the air pressure when not needed helps alot on ride comfort.....run 60/65 they come rock hard from factory

My father had a 75 GMC regular cab & a 79 GMC crew cab, both 3/4 tons. So I'm pretty aware of how seatibg has come along. The former was 1 of the 2 vehicles I learned to drive in, the other being a '77 Pontiac Laurentian (Canadian B body 1 step down from the Parisienne).

The only time I run the max' tire pressure is when I'm towing my travel trailer.
