Truck Shutting Off Low Speed Left Turn

Recommended Posts

All - Having some issues with my 2014 Sierra All Terrain shutting off/stalling at low speed turns to the left.  It intermittently will flash ABS and Stabilbrake errors.  The ABS breaks seem to get involved at times as does reduced power steering.  When this happens the AC also seems to stop briefly sometimes.  Sometimes the truck stalls, other times it doesn’t.  When it does stall it will either pick itself back up after a second and other times it needs to be put in park and the key will need to be cycled.

Truck has been DOD deleted with new cam.  Battery was recently replaced about 6months ago.

In addition to these new issue I have also been without a 3rd brake light as well as most recently my passenger side aftermarket Morimoto XB headlights turn off randomly.  If I cycle the headlights it will come back on but eventually turn back off.  Not sure if these are all connected but I’m hoping it’s all connected to one issue.

Attached are pictures of all the codes, of which there are plenty.

Thoughts?

How many grounds did you check and clean? That would be the first thing I did. There are several main grounds and since you have a 2014, pop off the left speaker cover and check out the G218 ground. It may need some of the insulation trimmed away so the ring connector gets full contact.

Will look into this. Could this also be caused by a failing alternator?

I wanted to circle back with the thread to close the loop.  I’m sure someone can benefit from this information.  The fix was actually a new Engine Wiring Harness Junction Block.  We took a gamble as I also had the 3rd brake light out which the fuse can’t be replaced as it’s part of the box.  Have not had any issues since changing it and just passed 100 miles.
