2011 Silverado 1500 Blower Motor Not Always working. Already changed out blower, resister and wiring. Need advice

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

Hoping someone might have some advice for an issue im trying to track down with my blower motor in my 2011 Chevy Silverado not always working. The past two years in the winter ive noticed if my truck is cold my blower motor would not work. After 15-20 minutes of running my truck it would start to work. In the summertime I never had any issues.

Well starting about a month ago now it randomly stop working here in the summer now. When I turn my truck on it works just fine and then maybe 5-10 minutes down the road it just stops working. If I turn my truck off and back on it still wont come on. If I park my truck overnight it usually works again first thing in the morning.

This weekend I changed the blower motor, the Resistor and the wiring harness from the blower motor to the resistor. It worked, I drove it around town for probley 30 minutes turning the fan speed off/on and never had an issue. I thought everything was good and I went to use my truck last night and the blower would not kick on again.

Not sure what to check next so hoping someone has some ideas!

Thank you,
