Possible?  This is America, everything is possible.

Adviseable? Meh, that's open to opinion.

Before I got my 24, the dealer had a High Country they wanted to get rid of.  It didn't have the multi-flex tailgate which was a no-go for me.  They asked me, if they switch the tailgate would I buy?  After they researched, I was told the wiring harness and at least one BCM from the factory will not recognize the change.

Thats not to say it can't or won't work.  But it's not a plug and play project.

I thought this gate was a gimmick. I have one on my 24 Ultimate and love it. I have a 3500 with 35’s on it and use the gate as a ladder to get in the bed to access my tool boxes. It’s a must have for these tall trucks.

It's good that some people have a use for them, I was lucky I could order my 2020 GMC 3500 DRW. without the multipro.  With a fiftwheel or my gooseneck horse trailer they are useless.  Good luck with your install.

100%....had it on a 1500 and thought eh, whatever

I have a 2500 now and it doesnt have one, and I need to get into the bed every day

so much so am seriously considering trading in my 23 for a 24

it makes a big difference if you have already used one and need it......the power up feature I have does nothing for me
