Denali Driver Power Assist Step

Recommended Posts

The toe kick button on the side of the running board no longer extends the step to the rear wheel, however I can have it extend through the button in the interior.

Also seems to be moving a bit slower when opening the door.

Any ideas to repair and improve functionality and performance?

Had this on my 2020 and had to have the switch replaced. Mine also started running slow and eventually reversing.

I found something on google that showed the same problem and it was a problem with corrosion at the pins -only 28k miles, but I live in central NY.

Followed the directions to take them apart, clean and lube. Totally fixed the problem and was pretty easy to do.

Thank you for the reply! I am in WNY. You replaced the toe kick switch on the running boards or interior? Could you share the link to clean? I would really appreciate it.

The switch was replaced on the running board.

Search “2020 Denali power running board fix” and I put the link on it.

pretty straight forward -good luck!
