So if they are having problems with the same switch, it can’t be attributed to the holes. If they come out with yet another switch I’m going to really feel like I wasted my time having the first recall replacement switch put in. Luckily my dealer is very good about dropping me off at home and coming back to pick me up and the drivers are all retired People who are very personable. I'm in same situation, though I have a friend pick me up and then I take him to breakfast. The dealer did ask if I had a ride, but not sure if they offer rides to/fro home as they once did. I'm tempted to add silicone to weep / drain holes.

Time will tell if there is recall #2.

What we need is a crafty individual with a 3D printer to print up a plug for the hand hole. You could print some pins on the bottom to index it in the opening, then run a bead of silicone around the perimeter. This would eliminate the dumping on your shoe issue from just blocking the holes.

That sounds like a lot of work. If someone gets hit by the shot glass of water they are less Mobil than a three toed sloth.
