09 hd 2500 6.0

No, not a swap you can do.

2 different generations of engines. The 2009 is a GEN 4 and the 2000 is a GEN 3.

GEN 4's are 58/4x cam/crank trigger and the GEN 3 is 24/1x. The wiring is different on the GEN 4 engine and the knock sensors and cam sensor positions are in different spots.

Just get the correct year range engine for the swap to work better, and you will require that the computer be tuned if you swap to something other than the stock size engine. Like going from a 6.0 to 5.3/4.8 etc etc.

GEN 3 are 1999-2006 (and half of 2007)

GEN 4 are 2007.5-2013 and 2014 depending on model of truck.

Google is your friend for finding the correct stuff.
