Silverado Mudflap Recommendations

Recommended Posts

I have a 23 Silverado 2500 and it came with the very low profile mudflaps from factory. After washing the truck, I noticed an absurd amount of rocks chips all over the doors and rockers. I have 22x10.5 wheels that I’m waiting to put on.

What is everyone running for flaps?

Had to install mudflaps on the rear to pass Maryland inspection (so irritating). I bought the Husky Liners as a very temporary “fix” so I could pass. I ended up liking them. They’re built pretty solid and the fitment is near perfect.

I've had a set of Weathertech and Husky flaps on 2 different trucks, the Weathertech are longer and kept more dirt and chips off the truck than the Husky because of the length. Even with the Husky flaps I have now I still get dirt and mud flung up hitting under the drivers door and into the rear quarter panel just ahead of the bumper.

Seeing as my truck looks exactly like yours you could also use some spray on bedliner across the rockers and the lower 3" or so of the bottom of the body panels. The black is barely noticeable on that dark blue and works well to cover up the chips.

Seeing that tractor in the background, your truck won't be a pavement pounder, I'd go with the Gatorbacks.

Nothing is going to cure that soft, fresh, water-based paint.
