5.3 V-8. Fisher homestead 7.5ft, not sure about the plow prep I kept the wiring harness and plow sides

So "technically" speaking, per GM, no VYU plow prep = no plow installed.  On these new trucks one key feature it deletes is the air shutters for the most amount of cooling capacity so when a blade is on the truck, there's good airflow.

If you choose to install (which plenty of people do regardless of plow prep but I always preface), your mounts and wiring won't transfer over so I'd sell those.

I suppose it comes down to the whole are you scared or not of a warranty not being supported.  I was planning on putting the plow I had on my Tacoma onto my rst.  7’2” 300lbs.  I put it on to plow, and take it off when I’m done.  Every once in a while I leave it on to go to work. It’s a hair small, but I already own it.  I guess I’m not worried about damage, but yeah there’s the whole warranty thing.  But with my back, it sure beats snow blowing for 2 hrs which is why I had to get it in the first place.  My driveway is too steep for an atv. My Tacoma was an awesome little plow truck with the western defender on.

Thanks EJ. I live in central Mass and my 2016 Z71 did a great job. I did the same. Take it off once done plowing. I had a leveling kit so I could keep the plow and truck in the garage and just open the door a drop the plow. The warrantee is up soon anyway so that's not an issue.

As long as you are smart about it, end of the day its not gonna hurt it.

If you are trying to plow commercially?  No lol.  Don't do that unless you at a minimum had plow prep or just went for an HD truck.
