Is this an alternative to keys?

Recommended Posts

What about taking out the stock bolt and putting in a longer one allowing you to crank more and get more lift, plus the torsion bar could flex more since the bolt would have more treads on it?

Or do they keys allow for the CV angles to be flatter?

Im relativly new to the truck world, lets see if i have this right, you need one of these special "keys" to adjust the torsion bars, or can you adjust the ride hight without a key? Also, if the Keys are need where do you get them? thanks for the help

The "keys" are what is on the torsion bars to adjust ride height and quality. You only would get new keys if you wanted to adjust past what the stock keys would provide. A 1/2 ton has green keys stock and need "ford" keys to adjust past the stock. And a 3/4 ton has purple keys stock and needs green keys to adjust past the stock. For more information do a search for "ford keys" and you will find all kinds of information.

Hope that helped,

Matt :D
