C15C7 BSCM fault on 2020 1500

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I have a 2020 GMC 1500 Denali with 72,000 miles. I was noticing a brake squeak from my left front after driving 15+ miles and recently my adaptive cruise started having a split second delay activating the brakes. Especially in heavy stop & go traffic. I have a Launch X431 V+ Pro scanner so I figured the wise place to start is a brake fluid flush. I performed a pressure-flush (as per GM guidelines for the eboost system) and completed everything including all of the recalibration except when I try to perform an automated brake bleed or a Brakes Hydraulic Test I get a “Possible Wrong Vehicle, Request out of Range” message from my scanner. My scanner works for every other test, calibration, and service reset I’ve encountered on the brake and all other systems, so I don’t believe it’s the problem.  Unfortunately, because I’m not able to perform either an Automated Brake Bleed or Brakes Hydraulic Test I have a C15C7(Brake Bleed Process Not Completed) fault that will not clear and the eboost system will not activate if that fault is active.
I love diagnosing and resolving difficult problems but this one is kicking my ass!!
Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I opened a tech support session with LAUNCH and they sent me an updat and said they added two functions in the BSCM, but i don't see them. I'm going to clear my cache and reboot to see if they pop up. Just curious, is the automated brake bleed under the BSCM or EBCM? And is it under Special Functions or Actuator Tests?

I appreciate your help
