Yeah, but if so you'd think they'd include those in the TB and ZR2 upgrade kits.

The ZR2 likely has a bit more travel, so at full droop the added caster will help it track straighter. They could use a more heavy duty BJ too. Could be wrong on both, but that's your main diff with aftermarket ones

Not saying you’re wrong, just that you’d think GM would offer it in the upgrade package if it was a necessity in their eyes.

Hell, the TB lift comes with reverse camera reprograming and bumper crash height lowering brackets. Those aren’t necessary for the functional operation of the truck. You’d think they would put different upper A arms in one of the kits if it was a necessity.

TB doesn't add wheel travel though. Just lift.

ZR2 has an extra 2" of travel over the TB. Longer shock, need more BJ angle and caster

That’s fine.

Just wondering why GM doesn’t sell the ZR2 uppers with the DSSV struts or even mention them?

They like to keep secrets lol

My thoughts exactly. If the ZR2 does have more travel, etc why are new upper arms not included in either the TB or ZR2 kits.

@AJMBLAZER, can you post the ZR2 part numbers? Might bite the bullet and just order them if they are not too pricey compared to aftermarket ones. Just to see if I can see any visual differences compared to the non-ZR2 arms.

Not off hand. I was at work and in a hurry but looked up upper control arms for a 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 on one of the big GM parts websites then a 2020 Silverado 1500. Sure enough, different numbers.

I looked through a few other sites since it had been a month or two since I last looked and this is what I found.

  Driver Pass
1500 Z71 85660606 85660607
1500 TrailBoss 85660606 85660607
1500 ZR2 85660608 85660609

I'd like to see them side-by-side for a visual comparison and find out exactly what the difference is.
