Have you fellas had any rust protection done on your new trucks , if so what product did you have applied ? I have heard good things about oil based  products and also Lanolin products such as Wool Wax .

Your thoughts

Thank You !

I used Fluid Film yearly on my last 2 trucks due to not wanting holes drilled in panels. It is lanolin. I switched to Surface Shield a year or so ago and also had my 24 that I just got sprayed with it too. Good protection for a reasonable price.

I used this on my 2016 Silverado to hopefully hold off body rot after having the rockers rusting through on my 2008 at 8yrs and 90k miles. My 2016 is at that same age and mileage and so far all is good.

Noxudol is a cavity wax that coats and creeps into the crevices and pinch welds. I sprayed it into the bottoms of the doors, rockers, tailgate, fenders, bedsides, and under the cab where there are braces spot welded to the floor. Every spring I pull out the fender liners and rocker panel plugs and flush everything out with water to hopefully get out the road salt hiding in the crevices.

I did my 2024 last summer with Fluid film. Most of it black but some areas clear. I just got back from a 4000 mile trip and most of it looks like it was just laid down. Some high splash areas like the rear springs and the front suspension have been touched up (I probably could have gotten away without doing it)

I plan to spend a little time spraying into the frame openings when the weather warms up. I didnt spend a lot of time on the interior of the frame since it was new at the time.

Whatever you use and however you do it will help years down the road.
