Truck cap for 2016 Sierra

Hi guys,

Im looking for a used truck cap for my 2016 sierra 1500 6 1/2 bed. I found one for a 2019 sierra limited. Someone can confirm me it will perfectly matches ?

It looks like the limited in 2019 was before the change to the current body style. Assuming the bed lengths are the same on both trucks it should fit.

The Sierra is a new model that was extensively reworked while the Sierra Limited is last year's Sierra that is continuing unchanged

 

So if i understand that means the sierra 2019 limited is the same that sierra 2018

You are assuming correct. The 2019 limited is before the change in body and interior to the next generation. A plain 2019 is the redesigned for the new generation. An easy way you can tell if it's a limited or new body style cap is to look at the top area of the rear glass where it meets the trucks cab. If it has a recessed area that is deeper than the bottom area where it meets the bed rails then you have the new body style 2019, if it's mostly even from top to bottom then you have a 2019 limited and it would fit your 16 just fine.

Great score finding a matching cap used. The prices have risen on new ones by shocking amounts. I paid $1400 for my last Lear XL100 on my 2018. The same thing is close to $3000 around here now.
