forced to disable my ad blocker to access this site

I have been around here for a while, mostly on the 2000-2007 HD forum. I like to think my small contributions have been both accurate and worth while. Today i see a new terms of service, and a pop-up on my phone telling me i have to disable my ad blocker to view content. As much as it pains me to say this, i will likely not be visiting this forum even though a new truck is likely in my near future and i rely on this forum to keep up to date on the state of the new HD trucks.

Hmmm, mine is working OK on my desktop. This site was the main reason I started using an ad blocker, the ads were (are?) insane.

I see no ads with my blocker. Some sites I go to remind me that I’m not supporting so it’s additional click. I have one news site I read that has figured a way around. It’s way too intrusive so I avoid it now. I don’t mind a few ads people need to get paid, right? But for now the blocker stays on.

The constant solicitation gets old fast. Can't get away from it, PC, email, Cell phone, landline, TV and Billboards.

This place is trying to make money to stay online, but they are going overboard. It's likely driving more people away than if they had less intrusive ads and more people viewing them.

That said, the Brave browser works perfect for this site and requires no add-on ad blockers. Works great on mobile. I use Chrome for most everything, but when it comes to this site, Brave is the way.

I'd double check what you were reading and what TOS you saw. This site doesn't have new terms to agree to if you're already a member, as far as I know

I use AdBlockPlus and I still see a couple ads on the side to the right but they are easily ignored.

Never seen a single ad. I only visit this site with my iPhone. They might only advertise to you guys with 100k dollar trucks. Us guys with W/T models can’t afford what they’re selling.

@Pryme I would think the guys with the less expensive trucks should be able to afford what they are advertising as they didn’t spend everything on their trucks!!

I use Adblock. No ads whatsoever anywhere on any page of the site

I still say this site is safe. Admins stay on top of everything making sure we're protected

Hey guys, no adblocker is able to block every single ad. We suspect there may be a few bad ads coming through and we are looking into it.

Please post screenshots, this will help us get to the bottom of whatever is happening.

I just received a pop up on my iphone telling me I needed to disable my ad blocker (adblock plus). However, at the bottom of the pop up in text color that barely contrasted with the gray background, there was a place to click that said “continue without disabling ad blocker.”
