Frame Wax Coating Issues. Again........

Recommended Posts

Bulletin 19-NA-255 has been updated again, same issue with the wax coating not adhearing to the frame but now includes some 2023 models.  With all the problems GM has been having you wonder why they have not gone back to painting the frames.  There were quite a few rumors GM was going to do just that but it has not happened yet.

I'll have to crawl under my truck and see if I have any issues.  I wonder how common this is?

BTW....how did you find the updated bulletin...seeing as they have the same number?

I did a duck search using the bulletin number and 2023.

It's been an issue since my first new truck in 07. ON that truck I stripped much of the frame and painted it.  I had a lapse in judgement and bought a 2012 F150 and besides a few issues that frame was hard coated and amazing compared.   I, too wish they would just hard coat the frame and be done....

Just installed my trans dipstick and my hands were covered in that danged wax coating.... I can't stand it.
