Accessory fuse tap

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to ad a fuse tap to the passenger side fuse box that is activated by the acc position on the ignition. I want to power up the Auxbeam control panel when activating the acc is pressed.

I can't recall the exact circuit I used for my cig and usb auxiliary plug but there are several choices. On the 3 leg fuses the center is the hot and the outer are the fused output. I used a tap that slides over the leg on the ATM fuse then connected a female spade to that along with a fuse for that circuit.

I bought a 3 leg fuse tap, plugged it into the fuse socket, installed the correct fuses, and it will not activate in the acc mode. I pulled the fuse tap out and replaced the original fuse and the circuit powers when the acc mode. I checked the tap with an ohm meter and the tap is ok. What am I missing? I have used other fuse taps, 2 leg, and they work fine.

This is crazy.

Thanks

Passenger side fuse box, top right corner there is a plug receptacle with a single male pin.  That pin is accessory hot.

I used Metri-Pack 150 series female connector,  I buy these from Waytek, but can also be removed from discarded plugs.

The following is a link to photo showing wire connected to the pin.

I would post a pic but between the horrible cell signal where I am and these annoying pop ups that block the screen, I can't get anything to load.

Thanks for the advice, I will try it and I hope it works. But I will try it later because right now, I am facing financial problems and I want to get rid of them. I have already discovered the https://casinosanalyzer.com/online-casinos/applepay website link where I found those sites in which I can play online real money games. When I am financially stable after that I will try it out and will update you if I face any issues.

Thanks for the advice, I will try it and I hope it works.

Edit: Thanks, you made my day. My problem solved.

My 2020 3500 has a harness plugged in to the top right receptacle. I will try using F26

Let me know how it goes. I tried using a 3 leg fuse and couldn't get it to work, not sure why. Wasn't sure if the truck senced additional load and shut the circuit off, if that's even a thing.

Drives me nuts.

Thanks
