2024 2500 Denali Ultimate Mirror Blind Spot Hit or Miss

Recommended Posts

New 2024 2500 Denali Ultimate at 904 miles. Mirror Blind Spot indicator works at random. Sometimes it notices a vehicle in the blind spot and sometimes it does not. It's about a 50/50 shot it will work. It misses semi trucks. Also at random it indicates something in blind spot and nothing is there. Took to dealer and they say they can't replicate the problem. It is a shame at $100K the blind spot indicator is hit or miss. Just wandering if anyone else has this issue and possible fixes.

Sometimes things like weather or interference from nearby gadgets can mess with how your sensors work. Pay attention to when the problem pops up – does it happen more under specific conditions?
Also, maybe, ask your dealer to give your sensors a good calibration. The Blind Spot Monitoring system needs spot-on sensor readings, and calibration could fix any misalignment or drift.
If you've got a diagnostic tool or app, use it to log data while you're driving. It could grab important info when the Blind Spot indicator is acting up.

Mine does this too.  Exactly the same way.  New to me 2023 Silverado 3500 high country w 30k miles, no damage history.  Whadya expect for 90k?  Also, as someone else stated, I believe ‘recalibration’ is probably the correct answer, have a Porsche that got barely scratched in a fender bender and the bodywork repair was just a small fender scrape and some paint, but the repair tech said there were six (6) ‘recalibrations’ required by Porsche to complete the repair, and those recalibrations are time consuming / cost a lot.
