2024 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate Dash and radio issues

Recommended Posts

Annoying issues that my dealer is stumped with currently. First, both my radio and dash seem to randomly go to different screens when I first get in and start the vehicle. I always leave the dash on the setting to see my fuel economy and the radio on one of the streaming services such as Spotify. Randomly, I get in and the dash will be on a different screen and the radio on USB drive music. Second issue...The streaming media such as Amazon or Spotify will just stop streaming as if there is no service. This happens in areas that it normally works and is always in areas with cell service such as the middle of town. The screen will go to the play symbol but no reaction when selected. If I select a different song or musician the song will play for typically 50 seconds and stop then I pick another song and the same occurrence. At times, the only way to get the music to work is to uninstall and reinstall the app. Any ideas?

This is really bad, especially after just reading your other posts and all the problems your truck has had.  Did this radio / dash stuff just pop up at the 15k mark, or have you had it the whole time?

I would love to know if anyone with a 2024 HD has had 0 problems with electrical systems / infotainment / power running boards.

My AT4X order just went in and I can't believe that I am seriously considering a Tremor instead.  Yes, I know Ford has plenty of issues too, but there seem to be many trucks that are problem free.  These new Sierras seem like everyone has a problem.  Pathetic.  C'mon GM!  We are crazy enough to give you near 100k for your trucks, please give us a quality, dependable machine in exchange!

First, check the compatibility of the drive and the file format of the music. Make sure the USB drive is formatted right and, maybe try another one to see if it's a hardware thing. Also, double-check the app permissions for Spotify, Amazon, or any streaming service you're using. Sometimes, restrictive permissions can lead to unexpected behavior.
And if nothing's working, try a factory reset of your infotainment system. Though – this could reset some of your personal preferences, it could sort out any software glitches causing the problem.
