I recently purchased the 1988 GMC Sierra k1500 350 four-wheel drive extended cab long bed with 155.5 wheel span, I'm trying to find the engine transmission and transfer case codes to no luck the transmission gear shift says L123, can anyone help me as to figure out what I have

Trans is 700R4, Transfer case should have a tag on the back of it

Isn't the 700r4 an automatic transmission mines a 3 speed standard with granny low

Not sure if the trucks back then had RPO code stickers in the glove box like the later model trucks.

 

But the engine would a L05 for the 350 TBI engine. The manual transmission in the SM465. The transfer case likely has a stamping on it somewhere to tell you exactly what version they ran back then.
