Transmission Tq Converter shop recommendations - Pacific NW

Recommended Posts

Any recommendations on a torque converter builder that can put together a billet Sonnax converter well?  If it were a job I could do, I'd do it.  I have limitations, lol.  I'd pay, just looking for anyone with a good experience with a transmission shop doing custom work in WA or OR.  I could probably get mine off, sent somewhere, but couldn't afford it coming back F'd and keeping my truck down for extended time.  Interested in following up on a shop.

Trans Medic Transmissions out in Gresham has always been great. Not sure if that's too far from you, but I've worked with Kaare (pronounced "Cory") and he definitely knows his stuff. I can't tell you if he's specifically had experience with that converter kit, but it wouldn't hurt giving them a call. I've had him work on my vehicles over the years, and my dad has had him work on his TH400 for his old Buick, so I'm sure he could point you in the right direction at the very least.

Circle D in Texas is well known in the go fast world. Ships anywhere. Can build a nice triple disc lockup under stock stall conditions for you and quadruple the converter durability over stock.
